Central Europe Goes to Freedom

The documentary by Mirosław Jasiński is about the long-standing cooperation in the framework of the Polish and Czechoslovakian Solidarity (together with additionally set up Polish and Hungarian Solidarity in 1989) which led to building friendly relationships between dissidents of Poland, Czechoslovakia and Hungary. After the 1989 transformation it turned out that those people became the new elite of their countries. Earlier relationships, which formed a unique political climate, turned into very close cooperation within the first three years of transformation. It resulted in creating the Visegrád Triangle and pulling the Russian troops out of the whole region.

"Central Europe Goes to Freedom" was co-produced by the European Network Remembrance and Solidarity (ENRS), and the "Remembrance and the Future" Center.
